Acrylic Marble Run
This project was a true test of patience. No one warned me about how difficult it would be to work completely in clear acrylic, and I am grateful for the learning experience. The Archimedes Screw was salvaged from a toy at a thrift shop. The rest of project was created using laser cutters, vacu-forms, a lot of epoxy and solvent. The belt drive is created from clear vinyl and the marbles are small ball bearings. The project was a demonstration of different types of force and I was inspired by traditional marble runs and perpetual motion devices.
